About us
•Welcome to Nyetimber Copse Residents’ Association Website
•Nyetimber Copse (the “Copse”) is situated in West Chiltington, West Sussex and was established in four phases of building starting in the early 1970’s and completed in the late 1980’s. The Copse was constructed through a mix of both original developer and private construction but there was overarching control over the design and finished appearance of properties making the Copse quite unique. Now comprising 77 individually designed homes, set on tree lined private roads, the Copse covers an area of some 32 acres. Although close to the local towns of Storrington and Pulborough, the Copse provides a perfect blend of attractive housing within a rural environment.
•What we do…
•The care and maintenance of the common areas of the Copse (road surfaces, trees, verges and surface water drainage) is managed by the Residents Association though a committee run by volunteer residents, who endeavour to protect and maintain the special and distinctive environment created in the Copse. All costs associated with this maintenance are paid for by our residents through an annual contribution, collected by each year by the Association. This contribution includes a budgeted contribution to a contingency fund, the cost of liability insurance and all operational costs. All committee members are unpaid.
•The operation and control of the Association is governed by our Constitution.
•The Committee..
•The residents Association committee comprises a total eight positions, four Officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Hon. Treasurer, Hon Sec.) each serving a 4-year term and four Executive Members each serving a 3-year term. Executive Meetings are held fours time a year and the AGM takes place each Spring.
•All of the committee positions are held by residents of the Copse.
